Why your website isn't bringing in leads — and what to fix first
Growth
When a website is not producing leads, the instinct is to buy more traffic. That usually makes the problem more expensive, not better.
Check the offer first. Can a first-time visitor tell what you sell, who it is for, and what to do next within a few seconds? If not, rewrite the top of the home page before changing anything else. Then check the contact path: how many taps does it take to call or submit a form on a phone? Remove every unnecessary step.
Next, look at whether the site is findable. Claim and complete your Google Business Profile, keep your name, address, and phone consistent, and make sure each service has a page that answers a real question. That is local SEO in practice — not a secret trick.
Finally, measure one thing: how many qualified inquiries arrive each month, and where they came from. If you cannot answer that, set up simple analytics and ask every new lead how they found you. Fix the basics first; traffic is the last thing to add, not the first.
